Kia ora whānau

It goes without saying that we all wish COVID-19 wasn’t part of our lives, but one upside I’ve been experiencing is that in a strange way, it’s helped me to connect with so many of you in the past few months.
This is all due to the wonders of video conferencing. Who would have thought earlier this year that ‘zui’ (a Zoom hui) would be a word we use just about every day? Recently I have been able to join many zui with the workforce centres and the Partnership Group of DHBs and NGOs. In our pre-COVID lives, I would have struggled to get around the country as much as I do now.
This week I have managed to make it to Auckland in person to join Carla na Nagara in marking World Suicide Prevention Day with a webinar and of course took the opportunity to see many of our Auckland partners.
As social beings we all appreciate that face-to-face is our preferred way of engaging with each other and hopefully we will be able to do more of that in the coming weeks and months. But for now, I’m looking forward to seeing many more of you via my laptop.
Ngā mihi nui
Robyn
