Welcome to the Health Workforce update for July 2021. This issue will cover:

I’d like to also announce that this is my last Health Workforce Sector Update, as I've accepted a new role as General Manager, Workplace Relations and Safety Policy at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
I’d like to thank the Health Workforce Directorate for their hard work, and to everybody who has contributed with feedback and support during my time as Deputy Director-General.
The Directorate will be in the very capable hands of Amy Wilson as acting Deputy Director-General until my replacement is found.
As always, please stay safe, be kind, and look after yourselves and your whānau.
Ngā mihi nui,
Anna Clark, Deputy Director-General, Health Workforce
