Cost of Treatment Regulations open for consultation
on 30 SeptemberKia ora,
Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment is undertaking a review of ACC’s Cost of Treatment Regulations. The proposed changes to the Cost of Treatment Regulations are now open for consultation.
The regulations are reviewed every two years to make sure:
- payment rates mean that treatment is affordable for injured New Zealanders
- costs to ACC are affordable, sustainable, and consistent
- payments are not too dissimilar across the health and ACC systems.
The consultation is led by the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE). Submissions will help inform MBIE’s advice to the Minister for ACC on adopting the proposed updates. Whilst the consultation is live, we are unable to comment on the proposed changes.
For further details and to have your say, please visit the MBIE website. Please remember that all submissions will be posted online and will be visible to the public.
The consultation is open until 18 October 2022.
Nga mihi,
Diana
