Promotion of World Hand Hygiene Day 2023
on 4 MayKia ora,
This Friday, 5 May 2023, is World Hand Hygiene Day. At the heart of the World Hand Hygiene Day campaign is the message that all health care workers should clean their hands at the right time and in the right way.
The infection prevention and control team at Te Tāhū Hauora Health Quality & Safety Commission have created some digital resources to support activity for World Hand Hygiene Day.
The resources include:
- screensavers (two kinds, one static and one animated)
- an email signature graphic
- a poster (available in English and te reo Māori).
The resources can be found on our website: https://www.hqsc.govt.nz/resources/resource-library/world-hand-hygiene-day-2023/. They are not dated, so they can be used on an ongoing basis for general promotion of the importance of good hand hygiene.
We will also be sharing an animation on our social media channels on the day; you are welcome to keep an eye out for and share our post, or create your own using the resources we’ve provided. Please use the following hashtags in your posts: #HandHygiene #CleanHands #InfectionPrevention.
If you have any questions about promotion of World Hand Hygiene Day, please get in touch.
Kia pai tō rā,
