Join us in a leadership role for our Housing and Recovery services. Focus and design care for aging Tangata whai ora in their homes. We're on the lookout for a Registered Nurse who's enthusiastic about mental health & aging.

About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi  
Are you a leader who has a passion for improving people’s lives? We have a role to lead our team of support workers to improve the mental health and wellbeing of our resident tangata whai ora who are entering their golden years. As a Team Coach we are looking for an inspiring leader to lead our services - Pathways Tumanako Housing and Recovery service. You will be leading a team of support workers who care for six tangata whai ora in their home. This role reports to the Service and Relationship Manager.  
 
The role of Housing and Recovery services is to provide wrap around support to tanga whai ora within their home. This service has an aging population, and the service design is changing to provide opportunities for our residents to age at home with support and care. This is your opportunity to assist in service development and design.  
 
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm with some flexibility. This position is based in Tawa, Wellington.  
 
Responsibilities include:  

  • Provide excellent care and support to six tangata whai ora who have resided at Tumanako for several years. 
  • Provide regular coaching and be focused on inspiring every member of your team to exceed their personal best in everything they do. 
  • Focus on mental health and wellbeing, while aging and remaining at home. 

You | Mōu  

  • Have a current registration as a registered nurse. 
  • Full New Zealand’s drivers’ licence
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to support and inspire a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with other stakeholders such as Te Whatu Ora, PHOs, and the wider community and social sector.
  • An understanding and/or experience in working in older persons health/mental health.
