Our Kaupapa: Meeting the healthcare needs of our patients and wider community through connection and collaboration.

As a growing practice, we are constantly looking for talented healthcare professionals to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing the highest quality of care. We are seeking experienced, passionate, and dedicated Nurse Practitioners to join our team for full or part time positions.  As an experienced NP you will be working with a team of skilled nurses and healthcare assistants, NP and GP colleagues, an experienced administration team, and everyone is supported by a dedicated Clinical Lead and General Manager.

Kensington Health operates Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm from our purpose-designed modern facilities within the Kensington Health Hub in Whangārei. Our enrolled population is just over 6,300 and we continue to invite patients to enrol with us.

Aligned to Mahitahi Hauora PHO, we provide general healthcare services, and we also offer the opportunity for specialist interests to be built into this role. We are especially proud to have a Nurse Practitioner as an Owner Director and actively encourage developmental pathways for our team to enhance the crucial part that nurses can play within modern day General Practice.

With a strong focus on patient-centred care, we are committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services and improving the overall health and wellbeing of our patients and their whānau. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, comprehensive healthcare to our diverse patient community. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional care to our region.

We are an accredited, Neighbourhood Healthcare Homes practice and are committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and actively encompass these within our daily lives. We are an innovative, teaching practice with Foundation Standard accreditation and working towards Cornerstone.

We are passionate about nurses and their development. We regularly provide mentorship for nurse practitioner interns and have ‘grown our own’ nurse prescribers who work collaboratively within the team.
