Primary health care nurse resources / Nga rauemi a te nēhi hauora tuatahi
for New Zealand registered nurses and nurse practitioners
This suite of resources is designed to support nurses in PHC settings across New Zealand
Primary Health Care (PHC)is a practice setting where nurses continue to make a significant contribution to the health of the community. Registered nurses (RN) and nurse practitioners (NP) are providing ever more complex and varied services.
The College of Nurses Aotearoa (NZ), over the years has received many requests for help and advice from nurses working in PHC organisations, and there are some areas which come up time and time again. As a result, the College has provided a set of resources for the most commonly asked questions, areas of confusion and worry.
This suite of resources comes with links to the professional supervisor’s page on the College of Nurses website. We strongly recommend professional supervision, coaching and/ or mentorship as important aspects of professional practice.
Any general enquiries please contact the College office on admin@nurse.org.nz
For advice on self-employment refer to: https://www.nurse.org.nz/self-employment.html
*Note: Where we have provided examples of service providers in the supplied links, please note these are only examples, not recommendations, please do your homework before selecting a service provider, make sure they suit your personal/ professional requirements, location and if applicable budget.
