Introduction:
Kia ora,
I am a registered nurse specialising in mental health, with over 10 years clinical experience working across adult and younger persons’ community and inpatient mental health services, as well as specialist services including eating disorders, forensic youth, intellectual disability and neurodiversity. I gained my nursing qualification and Master’s degree in the UK, and have worked also in Australia before I migrated to New Zealand in 2020. I have since worked predominantly in the greater Wellington region, most recently in quality improvement and patient safety.
I have held nursing leadership roles, and have experience providing education and training cross-professionally, and mentoring student nurses. I am passionate about supporting nurses with professional development, building confidence in their practice, and providing a safe space for reflective learning. My core values as a supervisor are to be open and honest and work with people with integrity, empathy and compassion. I believe supervision is important support for what is an emotionally challenging role and can help to prevent burn-out.
I am able to offer one-to-one supervision for nurses, and inter-professionally, within the specialism of mental health. I am happy to provide an initial free consultation call to discuss any requirements, goals and expectations for supervision to determine if I am the right fit for you.
