Introduction:
I have a clinical background in critical care nursing. My experience in this area consisted of being a level 4 senior nurse, nurse educator, clinical nurse specialist, nurse manager. I moved into more senior leadership roles in UK, which included regional positions. I am currently Head of Nursing and Clinical Services which includes a large allied health team.
I have a real interest and curiosity about leadership, believing everyone is a leader regardless of their role inside or outside of their profession. Recently I have become more focused on conscious leadership which is a way of being, it is a journey of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and continuous personal growth. It involves seeking genuine feedback and reflecting critically on ones own behaviours and thoughts. By doing so, leaders not only gain authenticity, they also inspire those around them, creating an environment of trust, collaboration, and resilience.
I truly enjoy working with clinicians at all levels to dig deep into what drives their thinking, beliefs and practice to make positive and sustainable change with better outcomes.
