Nurses are carers and need their own support mechanisms to underpin care delivery and technical support to patients with compassion and skill. My professional focus and passion is professional development enabling nurses to do their work with enthusiasm, skill and self-confidence.
I enjoy leading and supporting senior teams to improve leadership and management skills and equally enjoy working individually with nurses who provide front line care to vulnerable patients. I have provided supervision sessions for nurses undergoing NZNC audit and practice improvement programmes approved by Nursing Council enabling nurses to maintain their registration. As well as providing general supervision, I provide supervision to Intern Nurse Practitioners in Primary Care and Aged Care.
